OSC continues its commitment to providing early exposure to classical music to children in Chicago Public Schools through Music Inspires!  Programs are delivered in partnership with Classical Kids and Chicago Opera Theater. Events continue all week long, from June 11th through June 15th at Columbia Explorers Academy.

"We are looking into turning music into a part of their daily life, or moreover, making music a way of life," says Oistrakh Symphony of Chicago Music Director Mina Zikri about what he hopes Music Inspires! can bring to the orchestra's young audience: "Involving them in this process can inspire them in so many ways. For example, it can create the ambition to learn more about a specific art, it can create interest in a certain instrument, or trigger any kind of creative thought or positive curiosity that would lead students to get involved in the arts."
